This Date Difference Calculator measures the distance between any two calendar dates. Use it for project timelines, travel planning, contract periods, anniversaries, deadlines, and more.
The calculator shows both a simple total-day count and a calendar-style breakdown into years, months, and days. You can also add or subtract a chosen number of days from a date.
Why months can vary
Months are not all the same length. The calendar breakdown follows real calendar months, while the total days result gives you the exact number of days in the interval.

The calculator compares the two calendar dates and counts the full calendar days between them. It handles different month lengths and leap years automatically.
It adds one day to the total. For example, January 1 to January 1 is 0 days by default, or 1 day when the end date is included.
Yes. Dates that cross February 29 in a leap year include that extra calendar day in the result.
